Day Use Area & Pavilions
JOE WHEELER STATE PARK DAY USE AREA WILL REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
The tornado that passed through Joe Wheeler State Park on December 16, 2019 devastated our beloved campground and day use/picnic area, forcing the park to close these areas until further notice.
Since then, park officials have worked tirelessly, wading through proper channels and protocols to ensure the very best future for both the Joe Wheeler State Park Campground and Day Use Area and we look forward to offering an even bigger and better guest experience once complete.
